Meet The Team

Max Hamilton

Founder

Performance Culture resonates deeply with me, as it reflects the strength, resilience, and vibrancy embedded in my family and I’s journey to building our business. It encapsulates the numerous challenges and invaluable lessons that come with entrepreneurship. With an abundance of experience as both an athlete and a professional in the health and fitness industry, I’m on a mission to share my insights and knowledge to help freelance and independent coaches sidestep the pitfalls I’ve encountered, to help guide their journey to success within their business.

As an accredited Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Certified Human Movement Specialist, I love guiding fitness newcomers eager to embark on a journey of optimizing their health, as it applies to everyday life. Drawing from my extensive background in sports and fitness, my commitment to helping others achieve their goals by emphasizing efficient movement, enhanced strength, and improved conditioning. But what lies beneath these principles is what really matters – everything you do, starts with you.
To complement my mission of helping coaches succeed with their business, and individuals enhancing their health, is my unwavering commitment to fostering an authentic, trustworthy, and family-friendly community within Performance Culture. Here, everyone finds a welcoming and supportive environment where cherished memories are highly encouraged and inevitably created.
I’m excited to connect with you and support you on your journey to a fulfilling, active, and successful lifestyle!

Operations Manager | Personal Trainer

Performance Culture is not just the start of a new Calgary gym, but the creation of a new community committed to helping all of its members accomplish their fitness goals and live healthy and happy lives. Our goal isn’t for you to show up, work out and go home. Our goal is for you to come in and feel like you never left home at all. Whether you are a beginner testing the waters of health and fitness or a seasoned vet looking to strive for new heights, the culture will be here to help and support you every step of the way. Every owner, manager, trainer and associate is ready to welcome you into the family with open arms. The founding principles that Performance Culture was built on are Transparency, Trust, Purpose, Passion, Confidence and Community. My goal here is to embody these values to the best of my ability as well as bring some of my own personal values to the table. I am proud to be taking on the role of a Gym Manager and a Personal Trainer. I can’t wait to meet each one of you and show you all that Performance Culture has to offer.

Ever since I began a life committed to health and fitness, I continue to be amazed by the positive impacts it has on my well being. By taking care of the physical component, my mental and spiritual elements have also improved immensely. Being a recipient of these wonderful benefits, I have developed a desire to share this with the world around me. I have now gained years of experience in several different environments and I can’t wait to pass it on to members of the culture, as well as my personal clients as they pave their paths to health and success.
The beautiful thing I have learned about health and fitness is you get what you put into it. Every result you see and feel is based on the time and effort you have invested in yourself. No one can do it for you and you can’t do it for anyone else. As a health and fitness coach, my job is to help you find a path and create a plan to set you up for success but at the end of the day, you must decide to take that first step down the path to victory. The path may be long, it may be bumpy and you may have setbacks along the way. Throughout my late childhood and adult life, I have had to deal with countless injuries and setbacks due to work. When all the time and effort I have put in seems to have been for nothing, I remind myself of what I had achieved before and how great I felt knowing I conquered those setbacks. I also knew that only I could get myself back to where I was. I had lots of support and encouragement from those close to me but I still needed to be the one to walk the path. Here I am today still walking the path and loving every bit of it and knowing that all the success I’ve had and the comebacks I’ve made are thanks to the time and effort I invested and my belief in myself to become who I want to be. So when you start walking down your own path to success and times start to get tough. Don’t worry. Keep believing in yourself, be confident in your abilities and trust that I will be there to help guide you and support you every step of the way.
